Welcome! We are excited to meet you and we look forward to giving you a beautiful smile! Now that you know you need to see an orthodontist,
you may be wondering what is going to happen. Your first visit to our office will be fun and easy.
Dr. Waldman will meet you and your parents and then take a look at your teeth to see if you may need braces or other orthodontic treatment. If you do, we will take some pictures and molds of your teeth, and then we will have you come back to our office to talk about it again before you start any treatment. You can ask Dr. Waldman any questions you have, so don't be shy. Here are a few commonly asked questions:
Q: What is an orthodontist?
A: An orthodontist is a kind of dentist who knows how to straighten your teeth to give you a beautiful smile and a perfect bite.
Q: Will I need braces?
A: To answer that question, Dr. Waldman will need to look at your teeth. Everyone is different, so Dr. Waldman will let you know what will work best for you.
Q: How long will I need to wear braces for?
A: One or two years
Q: Will braces hurt?
A: You will not even feel your braces most of the time. After you get a new wire, your teeth may be slightly sore for two days.
Q: Can I choose the color of my braces?
A: Yes! Also, every time you come, you can change your colors!
