What are Children's Clear Aligners?
Clear aligners for kids are designed specifically to support healthy dental development during early growth stages
These aligners can straighten teeth while also expanding the arches, helping to guide the proper formation of the mouth and jaw.
In some cases, clear aligners are used when a child still has baby teeth to create space for adult teeth or to address functional concerns like crossbites. When permanent teeth are in, aligners continue to be an excellent option for correcting alignment and bite issues.
At Waldman Orthodontics, we offer both Angel Kids™ and Invisalign First™ aligners to provide personalized treatment for growing smiles.

Consultations & Monitoring for Children
Children should visit the orthodontist around the age of seven for their first orthodontic consultation. If we determine treatment is not yet needed for your child, we offer free assessment appointments every six to 12 months.
The Clear Aligner Process at Waldman Orthodontics
Clear aligners are designed to slowly straighten teeth by applying gentle, consistent pressure to them over time.
These trays are custom-made to fit the patient's unique smile during each step of treatment. Each aligner plays its specific role and is then switched out for the next one until the desired results are achieved.
How are Clear Aligners for Children Different?
Compared to standard clear aligners, clear aligners designed for kids have a smaller construction to fit a child's mouth and baby teeth.
These clear aligners utilize Eruption Compensation that accommodates baby teeth falling out and adult teeth growing in.
Here are a few more features of children's clear aligners that may make it a great choice for kids:
- No friction from metal brackets.
- Removable aligners that make it easier to maintain thorough oral hygiene.
- Removable aligners also mean none of the food restrictions that come with braces.
- Clear aligners are discreet when worn for more self-conscious kids.
